Description
Duramax rubber-lined naval brass bearings are versatile and reliable components that adapt equally well to strut and stern tube mounts. They are often effectively used as rudder-stock and pintle bushings, ensuring optimal performance in marine applications.
Key Features:
- Precision Fitted Diameters: Duramax cutless bearings are precisely fitted to the designated shaft size, adhering to U.S. Navy Buships clearances. This ensures efficient water lubrication.
- Vibration-Dampening Qualities: Johnson-Duramax® bearings inherently dampen vibrations and are non-polluting, making them environmentally friendly.
- Machined and Polished Brass Shells: The external brass shells are carefully machined and polished to facilitate easy fitting.
- Durable Rubber Bonding: Specially formulated oil and chemical resistant nitrile rubber is securely bonded to the shell for longevity and reliability.
- Thin Shell Units: Thin shell options are available for the struts of small crafts, catering to diverse marine needs.
- Easy Installation: Sleeve bearings are typically installed through light press-fitting and secured in place using cone-pointed set screws.
This product combines precision engineering with durability, making it a trusted choice for marine running gear applications.
